Please join us at our office for a group viewing of a unique webinar, exploring the art and science of listening, by master therapist Dr. Bonnie Badenoch and Polyvagal Theory developer Dr. Stephen Porges, both leaders in the field of Interpersonal Neurobiology.
Topic:
Presence and the Quest for Safety: Searching for Connectedness Following Trauma – GAINS Living Journal with Stephen Porges and Bonnie Badenoch
Description:
Join us in a conversation with Stephen Porges and Bonnie Badenoch exploring how our body system of surveillance, through the sensory pathways of our autonomic nervous system, impacts our sense of safety. This can disrupt our ability to co-regulate with others, impacting our mental and physical health. Healing can occur in cultivating the neurobiological roots of truly being with others through nonjudgmental, agendaless presence. Far from leaving us in a passive role, this kind of deep listening allows us to follow what is emerging in the other person. With our children, partners, and friends, as well as our clients, we can become people who foster the inherent health waiting within the embedded trauma.
Who should come: Therapists, parenting professionals, lawyers, and any relational professional interested in the skill and science of listening
